"An Orbit of Jupyter Notebooks: Web Scraping Wunderground for Interactive analysis & Visualization"
by Brian Smith, PyData Indy
IndyPy, March 2016
This demo by Brian Smith of PyData Indy provides a friendly introduction to Jupyter Notebooks and a few of its interactive uses. Jupyter is an open source web-based application that has grown to incorporate over 40 programming languages. The project was originally developed using Python & JavaScript and aimed to allow users the ability to create and share documents that contain live code, equations, visualizations, and explanatory text. Some uses include reproducible data cleaning and transformation, numerical simulation, statistical modeling, machine learning, and much more.
