Configure pickup, delivery, and shipping availability inside BirdChime — including per-day time slots, postal-code matching for delivery zones, and a maximum-orders cap so a single slot can't get overbooked.

Postal-code rule cheat sheet:
• Partial matching with asterisks: `11**********` lets every postal code starting with "11" through (so 110011, 11020, 11999 all pass).
• Exact matching: paste a comma-separated list of postal codes. Only those exact codes pass at checkout.
Pick partial matching when your delivery zone is contiguous and follows a postal-code prefix pattern. Pick exact matching when your zone is a hand-picked list of specific neighborhoods.

The max-order cap is the most underused setting. Use it to prevent peak-day pileups. Set a per-slot cap of, say, 12 orders on the noon-to-2 p.m. slot, and once 12 customers have booked it, the next customer simply doesn't see that slot at checkout. No double-booking, no overcommitting your drivers, no needing to call customers later to reschedule. Florists running Valentine's and Mother's Day, bakeries running weekend custom-cake pickups, and any store where one slot consistently gets overrun should set this on day one.
Postal-code partial matching is the second most underused setting. If your delivery zone happens to follow a postal-code prefix (most Indian cities do, many North American suburbs do), one line with asterisks replaces a manual exact-match list of hundreds of postal codes. Saves an enormous amount of setup time and makes it easy to expand your delivery zone later (just edit one line instead of regenerating the whole list).
Per-day vs same-availability-all-days is the choice most worth thinking about. If your store has the same hours every day, "same availability for all days" is the right pick. If your weekends are different, your Friday is different, or you don't operate on a specific day, go per-day and configure each day individually. The trick is that the per-day mode requires you to actually enter each day — leave a day blank and it shows as unavailable at checkout.
