When you buy a capacitor, you get an inductor for free. Unfortunately, ideal capacitors do not exist, because the leads always have an inductance. This results in a series resonant circuit with Z = R + jwL + 1/(jwC). Thus, as the frequency increases, the inductive component will increase more and more. In this video you can see the frequency response of different capacitors. Particular care must also be taken when connecting two capacitors in parallel.
