Learn how to create lightweight, procedural rocks perfect for scattering in large environments.
Welcome to Part 1 of the Rock Generator Series! In this tutorial, we are building a procedural rock generator using Blender's Geometry Nodes.
We will focus on a "simplicity first" approach. We will compare two common methods: a "Complex" Boolean-based setup vs. a "Simple" Displacement setup. You’ll see why the simple method is actually superior for creating natural-looking stones that you can scatter by the hundreds without lagging your viewport.
