In this video, I discuss the critical role of colour in Power BI reports and how it affects data visualisation. I emphasize the importance of colour contrast for accessibility, particularly for users with visual impairments. I also introduce the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and explain the ideal contrast ratios for text and non-text elements. I demonstrate a useful tool, the Adobe Colour Contrast Checker, to help you select appropriate colours and then I show the impact of having good contrast ratio in Power BI.
